Quality Control
Task of the department is to ensure the quality of the products produced by means of the required inspections. The Quality Control reports to Head of Quality and is responsible for the process and product controls.
Function
The Quality Control is responsible for initiating, implementing and monitoring quality in accordance with current quality of the product, process and system. Reports to Head of Quality and informs those involved in the production of the qualitative progress of the production. He reports and makes recommendations regarding the proper compliance with the quality or regulations. Handles complaints and solves problems together with Production shift leader. Actively seeks improvements and transform them into recommendations for the production process. Cares for timely and accurate reports on the quality process and food safety.
Tasks:
• perform control measurements to monitor the quality of production and detection of anomalies
• perform process and product controls, before, during and after the start of production
• administration of measurement results in database
• monitoring proper implementation of laws and regulations
• monitoring and ensuring food security
• supervising team management at start-up of production and new products;
• ensure timely initiation of actions
• conducting product audits and performance feedback in the form of a report to Production Manager and Head of Quality
• Consulting the management on solutions for reducing and preventing defects
Profile:
• Has relevant product knowledge
• Has relevant education or experience
• Excellent verbal communication skills, able to communicate at different levels
• Have knowledge and understanding of quality management processes and knowledge of BRC / IFS is an advantage
• Oversees the process and aids in improvements
• Interprets , analyzes and uses numerical information
• Is able to apply written information, laws and regulations
• Practical and result-oriented attitude
• Persuasion and a highly developed sense of responsibility
• Communication skills in English, German or Dutch
• Is proactive, think in terms of possibilities and gives specific advice
• See opportunities and knows how to put into concrete actions
• Accurate, can quickly switch between various operational activities
• Willing to work in shifts
• Is flexible and team player
